Themeless — The Captured Image

October 1st, 2023 - November 1st, 2023

Themeless is an exhibition exploring the concept of “themelessness,” a condition or state lacking a specific theme or subject matter. In a themeless context, the interpretation and purpose of the captured image may vary from viewer to viewer, making the art of themelessness more subjective and open to contemplation. The captured image is the visual representation of a scene or subject that has been recorded through the lens and preserved on a sensor or film to capture the fleeting moment in a photograph, juxtaposing the ephemeral fragments of the scene with its temporary and tangible nature in the corporeal world. What does the concept of themelessness bring to your mind's eye?
