Pharmacopeia opened in Louisville in summer 2021 as a physical exhibition at The Chateau Gallery. Fourteen artists used painting, drawing, photography, collage, assemblage, and found materials to address a subject that reaches from private experience into public systems. The live catalog names addiction, recovery, intoxication, fear, medicine, memory, and ritual as parts of that field. It also preserves the installation record and the individual entries that once accompanied work on the gallery walls.
