The Chateau Gallery

A Châteauesque online photography gallery.

Pharmacopeia 2021

TCG Gallery is an online photography gallery originally founded in an abandoned mansion located in the Old Louisville Preservation District in Louisville, Kentucky. It was conceived in 2019 by Vincent Gorlami, an art school washout turned New York financial advisor, and Hannah Dewitt, a prolific local artist who received a full-tuition scholarship to attend the University of Louisville Master of Fine Arts Program and graduated with honors. In late 2021, the Louisville Metro Fire Department ordered the gallery to vacate. Apparently, running an art gallery out of a stolen building on lawn mower batteries and clamp lights is a safety hazard. The physical location is closed, but it still exists on the internet. The gallery is affiliated with the squatter and counter-culture scene in New York City, and some plans are underway. Stay tuned.

TCG was an avant-garde goliath of brick and mortar, wooden beams, and traditional white gallery walls — a constant construction project occupying a time and place between the antique and the contemporary. TCG’s mission is to use our platform to transcend borders and broadcast multi-faceted viewpoints through artistic, ideological, and philosophical exchange. Our current calls for entries, scheduled events, and submission forms are listed on our call for entries page. Check out our exhibitions page for past and current exhibitions.
